How The Rooting Of Your Kindle Fire

No device Android is really yours unless you have root access. Here's Tips how to install the Android SDK and Tips the rooting of your Kindle fire.

Amazon Android e-reader/tablet fire arrived, which means only one thing: Eager and Android enthusiasts around the world to buy one and modify it so that they can gain root access, or "root" in it.

The rooting of the Kindle fire, and you may be able to install custom Android ROM,  which allows you to use fire as a versatile tablet, install and run Android applications that require administrator privileges can add features and to use the guts Kindle System and more more.

(You can also add full support for the 'Android Market, but it is a separate manual.)

To do this, does the Android SDK and only a special application called SuperOneClick. We'll show Tips you how to do it from scratch.

Step 1: Turn on your Kindle fire and press the top bar near the battery and Wi-Fi icons, click More ... drop-down menu, then click Allow the device and installing applications in On.

Step 2: Download the Android SDK from the Android developer's site. Get the version with a soft installation (installer_r15-windows.exe).

Step 3: Download the Java Development Kit (version 7, the time of writing). Make sure you download the appropriate version of Java Development Kit for PC - I am a 32-bit version of Windows 7 PC, so I downloaded the x86 version of Windows.

Step 4: Install the Java Development Kit. Make sure you do this before installing the Android SDK. All you do is open the installation file you downloaded (mine was called JDK 7u1-windows-i586.exe), and click the Setup Wizard.

Step 5: Install the Android SDK. Just open installer_r15-windows.exe and follow the instructions. Once the Android SDK has finished installing the SDK application manager automatically opens a list of software you can download. Go ahead and install all the packages precheck, but make sure that the USB driver package Google (which appears in Extras) is activated.

You need this file to allow your PC to communicate with the Kindle fire. Expect Manager SDK to download and install all the packages, and do not worry if you ask permission to kill a server or process. Just click OK until all is done with the installation process.

(Figure 1)

Step 6: Now that you have the SDK installed, you must make two quick changes before fire can ruin Kindle. Start by opening your user account in the Windows folder (C: \ Users \ (your username), find the new folder and find a file called adb_usb.ini open it in Notepad, add a new line of "Android" ..

The bottom of the document and write 0x1949 Make sure the chain is on its own line in the document, save it and close the other, go where you installed the Android SDK itself (probably C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk), and navigate to the \extra\google\usb_driver\ directory.

Find the file named and open it in Notepad. There you want to take the following lines and paste them directly under [Google. NTx86] and [GoogleNTamd64] headings in your document:

;Kindle Fire
%SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_1949&PID_0006
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_1949&PID_0006&MI_01

(Figure 2)

Save the file and exit Notepad. If Notepad does not let you overwrite android_winusb.inf to save it, save the edited version on the desktop, drag the edited version in the directory USB_Driver to replace the previous version with the edited version. Windows will ask your permission to replace a director t android_winusb.inf 'Do not worry okay'.

Step 7: Connect your Kindle to your PC. You will need a micro-USB cable to do this, the fire does not come with, so you have to buy this cable if not already have one that I use the phone or camera. Windows may try to automatically install a driver for it, no, then mount it as a normal storage device. Okay, but we may have to change something here later.

Step 8: Now that your PC is connected and the Kindle, which will open the Android SDK to make sure it recognizes that the Kindle. Open the command window (Start menu, All Programs • Accessories • Prompt) and go to where you installed the Android SDK.

I do not remember the DOS commands? It does not matter - just open a command prompt and type cd followed by the path to the platform tools (for example: cd C: \ Program Files \ Android \ Android SDK \ Tools Platform \).

While you're there, enter the ADB kill the server, press Enter, type the ADB devices, and press Enter again. You should see a command line to return to the "List of devices attached" and the string of numbers after the "device" - means that the Android SDK to identify your Kindle is connected, and you are ready to take the next step .

(Figure 3)

But if you have no devices on the list, it probably means that Windows will not use your Android SDK USB driver to communicate with your fire Kindle. Go to Control Panel in Windows, open Device Manager and scroll down the list of devices until you find your Kindle said.

Right-click the list and select Update and then click Browse my computer for driver software, click Browse and navigate to the folder containing the file you edited, formerly android_winusb.inf probably C: \ Program Files \ Android \ Android SDK \ extras \ Google \ USB_Driver. Click Next, Windows should now move to Android SDK USB driver for your Kindle.

Back to the command prompt, type adb kill-server, press Enter, type ADB devices, and press Enter again. You should see something appear on the list of connected devices.

Step 9: Now you are ready for your Kindle. All you have to do is download SuperOneClick (and NET Framework 2.0 from Microsoft, if you have not already installed), install both applications, and then open the root SuperOneClick.

(Figure 4)

Enter SuperOneClick thing to do - the whole process takes a few minutes - and when you are done, return to the command prompt ADB kill the server, and press Enter. Then, just to be sure, click the Safely Remove Hardware and remove the icon in the notification area of Windows Media (generally on the plug is a green check mark next to it), remove the Kindle, and remove it.

Congratulations - you have root access!

Kindle Touch: What Is New, And How Does It Work?

Review : Kindle Touch

Kindle-Kindle Touch 3G
With so much to choose new Kindle, it is important to make the right decision for you and your family. Would you go all in a fire Kindle? Skating on the Kindle bargain?
Or, as Goldilocks, you choose something in the middle?
The Kindle Touch $ 100 ($ 139 without the ads) is that the middle option. While the touch screen can feel like a "new and fresh" twist on the e-reader type, in fact, the device is still on original riffs Amazon Kindle, with some modifications to shake the epiphany. It is still read books.
So what is new, and how does it work?
Well, that's what the review is for.

Design Team
Unlike some products (Droid line, for example), the Kindle seems more conservative design wise of every generation refreshes. The latest generation (now known as the Kindle keyboard still available for $ 99), at least, a fine work of art, which may have been the top Amazon. Nothing wrong with the Touch Kindle seems, are just normal. Amazon could argue that this is the whole device "disappear" when you read the book, which is certainly true, but perfection is minimal and there is only mild.

Funny story: My father is a sort of "black blind", which means, among other things, that sometimes has difficulty seeing the gray car. I had a couple of near misses with his guide, because they simply did not see the car at an intersection. If I touch it launched the Kindle, he may not be able to capture. The device is coated with the quality of gray ("gunmetal") plastic, the rear two-tone composition similar to the Nexus, and is easily overlooked.

The front of the device has a button on the screen and home alone. The button is a series of ridges, apparently intended to represent the list of books that go. The screen is relatively deeply recessed, with the touch of OCR (the technology itself, and even the medallion, is present in the simple touchscreen Corner), and the bezel surrounding the gray is wide enough to be comfortable, underlined by an inch when the standard playing position.

The last screen of the Kindle was almost exactly flush with the surrounding plastic, but the credit of the Kindle Touch, there is no such thing as too thin, and I find the touch rugged little more comfortable to hold for long periods of time.

The single button on the device button lock / unlock / energy in the bottom, which is located next to the headphone jack and USB port. While pushing a button to unlock the device seems quite reasonable, slide to unlock the Nook is much more intuitive to me. If I put the Kindle for a few minutes and the Windows screen, it seems strange to have to get to the bottom of the device to interact with my new book - a combination of home and the key touch screen should be sufficient.

Regarding the issue of battery life: there is no question of battery life. It's not something I worry about e-readers, even with 3G review unit I have. Amazon expected a few months, with ads driven in direct and regular use of 3G could be closer to a week or two, but still not to worry.

Overall, Amazon is correct, the device does not disappear in your hands. I just hope when I'm paying attention, it was a bit 'lighter.

Kindle Fire Beats Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Over The Single Price

Kindle Fire Hits  Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0

Kindle vs Galaxy
Head to head, Samsung Galaxy beat Amazon Kindle 7.0 over a fire. But you can expect that because the costs over two times the fire. Here are some important differences between the two tablets Android.

Light a Kindle Fire, which began shipping November 14 for those who pre-order, but must be in writing. Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) Kindle Fire offers a user experience lower than the Galaxy Tab 7.0 more tablets, I have examined this week.

Kindle Fire is a nice little tablet, weighing 14.6 ounces with a mobile rectangular matte black finish. Customized Android works. But after the learning curve required navigation performance, which is, fortunately, the light, I was a little late when it comes to surfing or writing an application destination. No problems as with the Plus, which weighs only 12.2 grams and is enclosed in a metallic gray plastic.

I found most of the Kindle Fire is the navigation tabs and buttons do not respond at first, and had tap or tap multiple times to get more seats. And then I found a way around this: TAP efficiently into the fire, I'm really take advantage, and held until the application or window is opened.

Think of it as a gesture of press-and-hold on most of the tablets. But do not press and hold to switch from one program to another. I am not alone in this problem; Instapaper CEO Marco arm goes into deep detail here from the perspective of a developer. Conversely, I did not have such a layer over the interception, who flew on a quick tap every time. Amazon menus above was fairly common.

When loading applications in the fire, which carries the kind of late now I still see my smartphone Motorola Droid X, which has a single-core processor clocked at 1 GHz compared to the 1 GHz dual- core in the fire. Compare this with the Plus, which is based on Google Android 3.2 platform and led Honeycomb applications much faster 1.2GHz chip.

Win over the adaptation, too. In addition, five home screens adapted and widgets. The Kindle Fire has its own special user interface full of carousel applications, but not customizable widgets. What you get access to what you press. You can create bookmarks and Web browser silk is really good at remembering where you were before, a byproduct of its synchronization with a cloud of Amazon on the rear end. Both tablets use Google search.

The specs tell me more "screen is a little higher, with WSVGA Plane to Line Switching (PLS) LCD, against fire, In-Plane Switching (IPS) screen and its 7-inch screen. I could discern much of a difference after watching Netflix and other video content side by side on both screens.

The Kindle Fire did not have a camera, while the Plus has a 3 megapixel camera back is fine, along with a 2 megapixel camera front so you can video chat. The Kindle Fire was not a microphone, most do not. There are many other differences, including 16 GB of internal storage for most, compared with only 8 GB for the fire.
